Little poster a big deal

Her poster, when it was finished, recreated the scene but in a totally different, visually captivating way that’s all about layering and patterning . . .

That’s only the half of it. Peters drew subtle images into the patterns of the instruments and backgrounds, challenging viewers to look closer.. . . (Doubly cool because many posters in years past have animals, such as orcas, whales, etc. playing instruments. Peters flipped that on its head and made the instruments play animals.)

Review of Alaskan Brewing Co. Hopothermia Double IPA

First lets talk about the label. I love a good design, and the simplicity of this gray, white and green design makes me happy. A frozen hop cone to form the “O” in hop is very creative and adds to the appeal.

Tanna helped us with our initial design and layout of my business, The Rookery Cafe in Juneau Alaska. She was able give us ideas that transformed an aging retail space into a more modern feel, implementing design aspects that would have never crossed our minds.

In addition to that, she created our logo, which has amazingly strong design elements and transfers excellently onto anything we have used it for.

Since our opening she has designed nearly all our advertisements for promotional use, and has consulted in the creation of menu layouts, and just been an all around great person to work with.

I would recommend her to anyone looking to invigorate a space, be it home or office, or to bring well thought out design to a new or established business.

Reviews of The Curse of the Starving Class

A play by Sam Shepard

Grad student Tanna M. Peters has fashioned an impressive set in the Kogod Theatre, a grubby kitchen on a platform that seems to float on a field of golden wheat, with a surreally oversize fence looming in the background. Open spaces getting closed in — the ideas are right . . . It’s smart and gorgeous . . .
— The Washington Post, May 6, 2005
Most impressive, however, is the work on the design side where students produce fabulous work, most notably graduate student Tanna M. Peters who handled the set design . . . it is the platform set surrounded by dry stalks that Peters designed that makes the most lasting impression.
