The Rookery Café

Owner Travis Smith had a vision of this little café in downtown Juneau, Alaska as a gathering place for locals and tourists alike. A place to flock to for inspiring dishes, delectable treats, and caffeine fiends. His name The Rookery has roots in the concept of a gathering place or rook for varying animals, birds, even sea lions. We took that concept and developed the logo with gathering local birds and a subtle chess rook placed between. The space concept follows the same concept with details of the outside entering into the space like subtle tree patterns, unique nest-like lighting wraps and a cheery, family-style seating plan.
