Alaska Folk Festival
The Alaska Folk Festival asked me to create their yearly poster which also translates onto many point of sale items like t-shirts, hoodies, mugs and stickers. The Alaska Folk Festival has a rich history of known Alaskan artists as their poster designers. Often the posters feature animals and instruments, so I used this as a jumping off point for the design. Based on an image of a jam band playing during a previous Folk Fest, I extracted the shapes of the different players and layered illustrations and patterns full of Alaskan imagery into the poster.
